Pools

The Downtown Swim Club holds practices at multiple pool locations, depending on availability. Please check the club calendar for up-to-date details on which pools are in use for the current term. Below is information about some of the pools where we regularly swim.

University of Toronto – Athletic Centre

Address:

55 Harbord St, Toronto, ON M5S 2W6

Pool Details:

Varsity Pool (50 m x 8 lanes) – Saturdays

Varsity Pool (25 m x 8 lanes) – Sundays

Benson Pool (25 yd x 6 lanes) – When Varsity Pool is unavailable

Change Rooms:

DSC typically uses the M/F gendered Spadina change rooms.

  • All-gender change rooms are available next to Benson Pool.
  • Family change rooms are located in the basement near the pool office. These include:
    • Two private changing rooms
    • Open showers (bathing attire required)
    • Two nearby single-user washrooms




Jimmy Simpson Recreation Centre

Address:

870 Queen St E, Toronto, ON M4M 3G9

Pool Details:

25 yd x 6 lanes — Tuesdays

Change Rooms:

Private change rooms are available within the male- and female-designated locker rooms.



Pam McConnell Aquatic Centre

Address:

640 Dundas St E, Toronto, ON M5A 2B9

Pool Details:

25 yd x 6 lanes — Thursdays

Change Rooms:

All-gender group change rooms are available, with private change cubbies.



Wellesley Community Centre

Address:

495 Sherbourne St, Toronto, ON M4X 1K7

Pool Details:

25 m x 6 lanes — Wednesdays

Change Rooms:

All-gender group change rooms are available, with private change cubbies.



Summerville Olympic Pool

Address:

1867 Lake Shore Blvd E, Toronto, ON M1P 4N7

Pool Details:

50 m x 8 lanes — Thursdays (Summer Only)

Change Rooms:

All-gender group change rooms are available.
