Board of Directors

Downtown Swim Club is a volunteer-run organization led by a dedicated Board of Directors who help guide the club’s operations, programs, and community initiatives.



Owen Hollowell (he/him)

    Board Position: Co-Chair
    Board Member Since: December 2024
    Responsibilities: 

    • Manages facility permits and scheduling with the City of Toronto for pool access

    • Recruits, hires, and supports coaching staff

    • Collaborates with Jeff Bale to ensure continuity by transferring knowledge and preserving the club’s operational history

    Paul Campbell (he/him)

    Board Position: Co-Chair
    Board Member Since: October 2025
    Responsibilities: 

    • Manages facility permits with the University of Toronto’s Athletic Centre
    • Recruits, hires, and supports coaching staff

    • Collaborates with the Head Coach on club strategy and program development

    • Maintains and helps transition key club databases to ensure continuity for future Board Members


    Evgeny Dultsev (he/him)

      Board Position: Director at Large
      Board Member Since: December 2024
      Responsibilities: 

      • Manages member registrations and renewals with Downtown Swim Club, Masters Swimming Ontario, and Swim Ontario

      • Responds to inquiries from prospective members and assists with onboarding

      • Supports the Social Committee with planning and promoting events

      • Maintains the club website and oversees social media strategy and content guidance


      Greg Tranah (he/him)

        Board Position: Secretary
        Board Member Since: October 2025
        Responsibilities: 

        • Drafts and distributes the WetScream newsletter and other announcements as needed

        • Updates the practice calendar and sends out all club communications

        • Prepares minutes from Board meetings and posts them to the “Documents” section of the team website

        • Distributes and manages the annual membership survey



        Nick McIlveen (he/him)

          Board Position: Treasurer
          Board Member Since: December 2024
          Responsibilities: 

          • Manages all club payments and financial record keeping, including pool rentals, coaching fees, and MSO/SO dues and expenses

          • Oversees and reconciles PayPal and banking accounts

          • Prepares and files annual tax returns in compliance with applicable regulations

          • Produces year-end financial statements and reports for the annual meeting and reporting requirements

          Here are some of the ways you can get involved:

          • Join the Board of Directors – Help guide the direction of the club and contribute to its ongoing success.
          • Social Committee Member – Assist with planning and organizing fun social events for the club.
          • Social Media Volunteer – Help promote DSC online by creating and sharing content on our social platforms.
          • Swim Meet Lead Volunteer – Coordinate swim meet logistics and support members who are interested in competing.
