To participate in a trial swim, you should be comfortable swimming a few lengths of the pool with minimal rest. Not sure if you’re ready? Email us at info@dsctoronto.ca - we’re happy to chat and provide guidance or accommodation.
HOW TO REGISTER FOR A TRIAL SWIM
On your first visit, arrive 15 minutes early, and ask to speak with a board member or coach for a quick orientation. You may attend up to 3 trial swims before deciding to join as a full member.
WHAT TO EXPECT AT PRACTICE
BEFORE PRACTICE
Arrive in your suit with a towel and goggles 15 minutes before start time. This allows time for stretching, which helps prevent cramps and injuries.
DURING PRACTICE
Our coach will guide the session with a pre-planned workout. Feel free to speak with them beforehand about your experience level and goals. Don’t worry if you can’t finish everything - we all start somewhere!
AFTER PRACTICE
If you enjoyed your trial swims (maximum of 3 allowed), we’d love to have you join our club! DSC is self-funded, and your membership helps cover coaching, pool rentals, and more. All members must also join Masters Swimming Ontario (MSO), which provides insurance coverage and access to official competitions.
Visiting from out of town? We welcome Masters swimmers who are in Toronto for business or pleasure.
HOW TO REGISTER FOR A GUEST SWIM
On your first visit, arrive 15 minutes early, and ask to speak with a board member or coach for a quick orientation. You may attend up to 3 guest swims only.
